Severn Project & Tide Lands

The Severn Project, supported by a grant of £72,000 from Arts Council England, South West, featured free outdoor events and a comprehensive community and education programme, all inspired by Alice Oswald's poem, A sleepwalk on the Severn. 10,000 people saw and took part in the programme through out the summer in 2009.

Alice Oswald's poem was interpreted through dance by choreographer Marie-Louise Flexen who worked with 20 young dancers to create a piece called 'Tide Lands' with original music by Steve Skinley & Rick Morton of Familiars.
